Grappling. kicking, punching, throwing are just some of the techniques of kungfu it is a highly specialized ancient form of combat that has been practiced for years and dates as far back as the orgination of budhhism because of its complexity it is effective in defending against all forms of attack because it is centered around all forms of combat once mastered the practiotioner should be equipped and able to defend against virtually any form of attack.
Unlike other martial arts forms that concentrate on one or two fighting techniques Kung Fu consist of several hundred fighting techniques, because of this it is a bit more complex than other fighting styles but when mastered it gives the practitioner the ability to defend against virtually any attack.
Slight variations in delivery and technique are what make kung fu styles like crane, monkey, tiger, eagle claw different but still very effective and deadly fighting forms although different they are all centered around the same fighting principles which consist of throwing, grappling, kicking, punching, etc
Once mastered kung fu equips the practitioner with the ability to deal with virtually any form of attack it takes a bit longer to learn because of its complexity but if I had to choose between what art to practice I would choose kung fu hands down because wealth of fighting knowledge that equips the practitioner with no other fighting form compares in my estimation.
Many have asked the qustion what is kung fu and it is a question that takes a little longer to accurately answer or respond to because of the many hundreds of fighting styles that kung fu is made up of it is composed several hundred different fighting styles as opposed too one or two that most other forms of fighting are centered around becuase of the wealth of fighting knowledge that equips the practitioner with, it is in my estimation one of the most complete forms of fighting.
